Fire extinguishers and fire hoses are located in all areas of the building, please read the instructions on the back of the door and familiarise yourself with your closest appliance. All kitchens contain a fire blanket under the sink.

If you need to see a Doctor you can contact Queenstown Medical Center on 03-441 0500. This is a private medical practice and charges apply.

Check-in time is from 2.00 pm.
Check-out time is 10.00 am (later by arrangement if possible, please check with reception).
A telephone is available in the reception for local calls and to contact our virtual concierge.
Complimentary Wireless Internet is available throughout the building, the password is provided with our check-in documentation.
Should you require any assistance please contact our main office on 03 442 9043. Normal office hours are 0800 to 1700, outside of these times your call will be diverted to the Duty Manager.
We operate an app-based key system for the apartments please advise if you would like to make use of this function. All key cards are automatically cancelled on check-out. If you require a physical access card please contact us on 03 442 9043. If you lose or forget your key in the room a $100 call-out fee will be charged to your credit card.
Queenstown Taxis – 03-450 3000
The nearest airport is Queenstown, just a short 10 minute (20minutes in peak hour traffic). The local bus, airport shuttles and taxis are available for your journey to the airport (Taxi Queenstown Taxis 03 450 3000).
We have parking available on a first come first serve basis. Please make sure to park your car to allow others space to open/close doors.
Downtown Queenstown is a short flat walk away. Turn left from the property and proceed on either side of the road approximately 200 metres

ROOM SERVICING Your apartment will be serviced every other day between the hours of 9:00 am and 2:00 pm. Please contact us if you wish to arrange a more convenient time or place the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign on your entrance door. If the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign is on your door, no servicing will be provided to your apartment on that day. Please let us know if you require extra towels or supplies on non-servicing days. |

DAMAGES/MAINTENANCE: We ask that you please report any damage to Reception as soon as possible after it has occurred. Should you spill something on the carpet or room furnishings, please inform us immediately so we can use the correct cleaning method to avoid further damage. Whilst we understand that accidents can happen, we do reserve the right to charge for damage and repairs as we seem appropriate. Please report any maintenance issues to reception so they can be repaired as soon as possible. |

DINING OUT: Queenstown and the surrounding areas have restaurants for all budgets, tastes, from casual to the complete 9 course dining experience. We are happy to make suggestions or reservations for you. |

DISHWASHING MACHINE: Each apartment is equipped with a Fisher & Paykel dishwashing machine. Operation instructions are provided on a separate page in this manual. |

FOOD DELIVERY For all food delivery services, of which there are many in Queenstown we ask that you instruct the service to deliver to the entrance and that you are greeting the delivery driver at the door to ensure other guests are not disturbed. PLEASE DO NOT PROP OPEN THE FRONT OR SIDE DOORS, THESE MUST REMAIN CLOSED AT ALL TIMES. |

HEATING & AIR-CONDITIONING Individually controlled heaters and reverse cycle air-conditioning can be adjusted to suit your needs. All apartments have underfloor heating in the bathrooms. |

LAUNDRY: The laundry on the entry level floor has a washing machine and dryer for use of guests. We provide sachets of laundry powder for your use. Laundry is free of charge. The laundry is available for guest use from 7am to 10pm. This is a self-service laundry, please ensure you remove your laundry when it is complete. We take no responsibility for any damage caused to your clothing when using the machines or the removal of your laundry if you leave it unattended. Please follow the instructions in the laundry for usage of the washers/dryers. Each room is equipped with an iron and ironing board for your convenience. |

LOST PROPERTY: We may be able to forward items left behind if you provide us with an address. Lost property is disposed of after two months. Please note that all food and beverage items left in the apartments are disposed of once you have departed. |

LUGGAGE STORAGE: We are happy to store your bags for you before check-in or after check-out or between visits. Whilst all care is taken, we take no responsibility for any damage to your belongings in our care. Please do not leave any valuables in stored luggage. We cannot store any perishable food items. |

PARKING We have parking available on a first come first serve basis. Larger SUV’s/Ute/s and Busses cannot be accommodated. Please park your car in the allocated space for your apartment and park your car to allow others space to open/close doors. |

RECYCLING In keeping with our environmental policy, we encourage recyclable waste such as flattened aluminium cans, cardboard, plastic bottles (rinsed, no lids), glass jars and bottles, newspaper/paper, by providing bins in each apartment and on each floor. |
|
SIRENS – DAY AND NIGHT: Do not panic! This is our Volunteer Fire Brigade being called to duty. Most sirens are usually a false alarm, but this noise can be scary especially in the middle of the night. |
|
SMOKING/VAPING: Queenstown House Lakeside Apartments is SMOKE FREE and VAPE FREE. All rooms are SMOKE FREE AND VAPE FREE areas, and if smoking or vaping does occur in a room, there will be a cleaning charge incurred and charged to your credit card. |

There are several excellent spas and treatment options available in Queenstown.
Enjoy a scenic cruise across Lake Wakatipu on board the vintage steamship to Walter Peak High country farm. The Earnslaw departs at various times of the day and there are many options to choose, from just a cruise, a farm excursion or perhaps lunch or dinner.
The skyline Gondola is open daily from 9.00 am it takes approximately 15 minutes to ascend to the gondola terminal and restaurant at the top. The restaurant is open for both lunch and dinner buffet. Reservations are essential. The Luge is a must do, guaranteed to bring out the inner child! The tracks have amazing views, and you can control your speed, either a nice sedately cruise or the wind in your hair thrill factor.
Located beside the Gondola station, you MUST visit this conservation facility. You will see a live Kiwi, our native bird, and learn about our unique environment.
Arrowtown was “Born of Gold” in the 1860’s and is only a short 20-minute scenic drive from Queenstown. The main street is lined with faithfully restored historic buildings. And is great for shopping, dining, or just a casual walk along the Arrow River. The Lakes District Museum is a fantastic way to look back at the history of the area.
One of the Seven Wonders of the World! This trip is a must.
The weather is an important factor when choosing a day trip. Our favorite is flying, as this minimizes the amount of time travelling and you can take in the spectacular views. Other options can be discussed with us.
For a longer, gentle walk or jog, visit Queenstown Gardens by following Lake Esplanade then head right around Queenstown Bay via Marine Parade. You can either stay on the dirt path following the lake edge or walk up into the centre of the trees and planted flower beds.
